  A new explanation for the ghost lights of Marfa, Texas, involves possible bioluminescent flying predators, which may sometimes hunt the Big Brown Bat. The larger flying creatures may be related to the "ropen" of Papua New Guinea, a mysterious nocturnal flying predator, known by some natives tribes as "kor," "indava," "seklo-bali," "wawanar," and "duwas."

  The Coast Redwood is an evergreen tree that lives for up to about 1800 years and is the tallest type of tree on Earth, some individuals stretching up to over 350 feet high. Before commercial logging, these trees lived in about two million acres along the coast of California and southwestern Oregon. They receive 25% to 50% of their water from fog, at least during the summer seasons.
